Janome Jem Gold 660
I have just started using my Gold 660 so only have initial observations. To me, it seems a little noisy. Maybe it will quiet down after the silicone lubricant works itself in. Right now it is a little bit of a grinding noise. Also, when I packed it into my rolling carrier I didn't take off the thread holder, didn't think there would be a problem. When I opened the carrier to take it out again, the holder had been broken off, rendering it unusable. Lesson learned. Luckily I have a vertical spool holder from another Janome 7700 machine that will fit into the hole and work in this situation. I like the weight of this machine and will enjoy it's portability. Thanks again.

Very easy, works fantastically!
I'm a novice sewer and use this machine for crafts and the occasional quilt. I bought this machine to replace an older one and I love it! The instructions book is very straight forward and easy to follow, the machine worked great with very minimal set-up (just attach the spool holder), the bobbin winder works great. The drop-in bobbin is super easy to set up, it's never jammed on me, and the clear cover makes it easy to see when you are running out of thread. Overall, this is a great basic machine that will make short work of any project for a sewing hobbyist.

I use this to take to sewing class, it is light weight, easy to use. It doesn't have many stitches but fine for a quick class.

Love this sewing machine.
After talking with other quilters in my guild, I just had to get this little machine. I needed a machine that did all the sewing I do, plus be light weight and portable this machine has it all. Looking forward to getting other accessories for my Janome Jem.
