Brother quote "embroidery only machines use a PWB350 bobbin with 90 wt thread". Except PE770, embroidery only is listed as using PWB250 or SA156 bobbin with 60 wt thread. The SA156 is used in all sowing machines and sow and embroid combination machines. I adjusted my PE770 for the PWB350 bobbin with 90 wt thread. The Brother thread works best. With after marked threads you need more adjusting of the top thread tension. But NEVER mix up between 60 wt and 90 wt thread once you got your machine set right. If unmarked it is probably 60 wt thread.

I have the Brother PE770. I had major problems trying to adjust the tensions. My bobbin thread was always to one side on the bottom making it easier for it to start showing on the top after stitching for a while. I read everything I could find on the internet and watched many YouTube videos on how to adjust tensions. I finally found one line on the Brother help site stating you should use 90 weight bobbin thread and 40 to 50 weight top thread. I ordered these bobbins and had perfect stitches! Will definitely order the big package!
