This machine has a top load bobbin system that is jam-proof, eliminating all your thread and bobbin jam issues. Just purchased
Ordered and promptly received my new machine from SewVacDirect. Just getting to know the machine. Too soon to form opinions about how I like it. A request for a review would be better received after a few months.

HD3000 nice machine. Sewed through multiple layers of various material
I am pleased with my purchase of the Janome HD3000. It is very heavy duty. Was able to sew through 10 layers of pre-quilted fabric, batting and cotton material. While shortening the sleeves on a Carhart lined jacket (material is heavy duck cloth) it struggled to sew through these layers and especially over the flat felled - welted seam.

Love this machine. Have had it for five years with no problems. It's very basic and easy to use. Would recommend to anyone.

Heavy Duty
I needed a heavy duty machine and this fits the bill. The price is right. My other Janome is light weight so I can travel with it. This one is a bit old school which is fine. I really miss the automatic scissors I have on my other machines. I also like that I can set the presser foot heights.

Great sewing machine
Received the Janome HD3000sewing machine in just a couple days after I ordered it. I was thrilled and couldn't wait to start sewing. It worked wonderfully! I haven't stopped experiencing the different stitches. Very pleased with the fast delivery.

It is the best all-round machine I have ever seen
This Janome is a wonder ... In the year and a half I have owned it it has patched, sewn and decorated my little homestead. Through shadecloths, buffalo gloves, patched a dozen jeans, clothes, it has not faltered. It is the best all-round machine I have ever seen. While I'd like to get a computer quilter/sewing machine some day, this baby answered every need, and I can't imagine being without it. The Janome people are the best.

Quiet, Well Built, and Does A Great Job
If you're looking to upgrade your sewing machine from what you can get at the local big box store, the Janome HD3000 is a great machine. My wife tried the $97 dollar cheap machine, and when that broke, we tried the (big box) top of the line $229 machine. That one broke as well. It could be the fact that my wife runs thick material through her sewing machine and so that is why I spent more than I ever thought I would for a sewing machine. When what we could buy locally wasn't working, we switched to this HD3000 and are glad we did. The machine is great. It's quiet, and has probably more features than the average sewer will need. The array of accessories and a place to store them all is really nice. I never thought I would spend $400 dollars on a sewing machine but, my wife is worth it and so is this machine. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more robust sewing machine.

Great for Denim & Leather
if you're looking to sew on denim or leather, this machine sews through both like butter! It has storage in the top and bottom for all your extra feet and tools so you don't lose them! I really like this machine.
