Has its flaws
This felling guide works only if it's sewing two panels together not in the round/as a tube. I tried using it for inseam and outseam of shortlegs, and the only way to close the tube after sewing one side — such that the serger stitches didn't show on the right side — was to fold the fabric over itself again, which required extra pressing and made the serging process "blind". The result was a wavy seam and not all the edges being caught properly. The fabric I was using, a slippery tencel, may have made it harder, but trying to fold the edge of 1 fabric panel over and keep it in place while inserting the other panel, with little space between the guide and the foot, even with pressing, was aggravating. Maybe there's some way to make it work, but after trying for a couple hours, I had to give up. I ended up undoing it and flat-felling the normal way using a sewing machine. This makes it a lot less useful than I'd hoped. Also, this didn't come with instructions, so I had to contact Elna directly about how to use it. You fold one of the panel's edges into the top of the guide, inserting the other panel's edge in the bottom, no folding. This makes a less bulky and attractive seam, and it worked OK on cotton practice scraps.
