    Fit my SE400 perfectly

Posted by Stephanie on 28th Aug 2018

You really have to know what product your machine needs. It would be easy for me to head to one of the commercial fabric shops in town and assume that the Singer bobbin they sell would probably work (and they tried to convince me that it would). But I'm glad I went with my instincts and ordered the real deal. It's not worth a couple bucks shipping (if you don't have Prime) especially if the wrong parts end up killing your $300+ machine! These fit my old SE270D before it died too. FYI.

If you own a lower end Brother sewing machine I recommend these bobbins

Posted by Nancy Patterson on 28th Aug 2018

Order at 6am got it by 6pm the same day. If you own a lower end Brother sewing machine I recommend these bobbins; any other and you will be constantly adjusting the tension and it cost about the same as the generic. Worth the price

Got a Brother? You need these because Brother uses a different size bobbin.

Posted by Nancy Lindquist on 27th Aug 2018

Brother bobbins are not the same size as everyone else's. Dratted things. I bought these and they are perfect. I have to keep them separate, because I have more than one machine, but I can wind up five for a project and no need to make more. Which I detest. I probably will buy several more sets to have wound up in the colors I use most often.

A must for smooth running machine

    Posted by Jean9 on 27th Aug 2018

These are really a must if you have this machine because truly nothing else works. I had tried a few standard bobbins and nothing but random trouble while sewing. I thought it was the machine because sometimes it sewed fine then all of a sudden it would jam or the stitches would be to tight or loose. It recommends this type and once I used these, no more issues. I can not find these sizes any where buy Amazon

Work super. Check manual b4 buying. Fits only certain machines

Posted by Mathilda E. Smith on 27th Aug 2018

Be careful what machine you use thes with. I would not give as gift unless your brother machine specifically uses this model like mine does. They work perfectly but they are slightly smaller as machine needs so look at manual b4 buying. Never had problem with them ever.

Hard to find in store and perfect Brother bobbins

Posted by WillPowe on 24th Aug 2018

I wanted to buy the OEM Brother bobbins and I found them here on Amazon for a great price. I had trouble finding them locally in stores so I search and found these that are well reviewed. These bobbins fit perfectly in my machine. I have had trouble in the past with bobbins that snag thread so getting the exact type the manufacturer recommends is important. These bobbins are packaged in original Brother brand packaging and came super quick.

Only Genuine Brother parts for me

Posted by Mountain Granny on 24th Aug 2018

The one thing I learned while doing research for my SE-400 was to only use Genuine Brother parts, including these bobbins. Using the wrong bobbins, especially the ones that say "Will work in all Brother machines" reminds me of the old saying "Interchangeable parts won't". There really is a difference when it comes to correct tension and not ruining the bobbin case. These were a little more expensive than the Bargain Bin type, but for the sake of my machine working correctly, the price still made these a good purchase. So, for the sake of your Brother machine, make it a practice to do the same with other accessories and presser feet.

These are good quality and I am confident they will last years

Posted by Cameron on 24th Aug 2018

The Brother CS6000i doesn't come with enough bobbins to start, in my opinion, so this is an essential buy if you are looking to do any serious sewing from the get-go. Unfortunately most stores in my area don't seem to carry Brother brand merchandise, and I didn't want to risk any kind of tension issues or damage to my machine from using other makers' bobbins. These are good quality and I am confident they will last years.

    Buy These For Your Brother

    Posted by spike-j on 23rd Aug 2018

I've tried generic class 15 bobbins from a local store on my Brother CS6000i, but they had two problems: 1. The notch was a little large, so they did not lock solidly on to the winding mechanism. When winding a bobbin and it starts to get full, the thread tension can change, causing the generic bobbin to slip on the shaft. The result looks a lot like the "don't use bobbins wound like this" from your sewing machine manual. The genuine Brother bobbins lock solidly, don't slip, and wind properly. 2. The bobbin was slightly loose in the bobbin case (the part of the machine where the bobbin is while sewing.) This was a much bigger problem, because it caused the thread to jump out of the tensioning spring after a few stitches. The machine would still sew, but not well since the tension was out of balance. With the genuine Brother bobbins, the thread stays on the correct path, and the machine works the way it's supposed to.
