    Wonderful +

I absolutely love this embroidery machine. So very easy to use and final project is usually perfect. Very few "bird's nests". Machine is able to do 650 stitches per minute. Very easy to thread. Has a slot for cards as well as a USB port. I cannot say enough positive things about this machine. I still have a Brother SE400 that is capable of both regular sewing and also embroider. Great products.

    awesome little machine

Posted by K. Moore on 4th Jul 2018

I purchased this machine when my multi needle broke during the Christmas order rush. I was very impressed with this machine. Stitches out beautifully, is quiet, and was very easy to use. I was able to complete all my orders and had zero issues with this little work horse! I would recommend to anyone looking for a starter machine or as a backup.

    It is quite nice

Posted by D.L. Avery on 4th Jul 2018

I have not had a lot of time to work with my machine but what I have done with it is marvelous...the only place I have an issue is threading...the wee holder for the thread at the top of the needle was difficult to get the thread around and keep it there...but it has improved as I threaded more often...can't give a huge review as I haven't used it enough...but am sure I am going to love it!!

Great machine at a very reasonable price

Posted by JulS on 4th Jul 2018

I am completely new to machine embroidery and this has been a great machine at a great price. Convenience of the USB port is an absolute necessity. Screen display is black/white - would be nice to have larger and higher resolution when searching designs but that comes with the more expensive machines.

    Brother PE770

Posted by hrhtjm on 4th Jul 2018

I haven't used it a lot yet, but so far I really love it. I've downloaded several fonts & designs from Etsy. Not a fan of the designs you can buy from Brother, they look generic. I adore the needle threader lever, it is a huge selling point for me. It is very easy and quick to thread - another big plus. One person found this helpful

LOVE this machine! Just have to name her now.

Posted by carol a. madigan on 4th Jul 2018

I've had my machine a week now. It's my second embroidery machine. It took me awhile to figure out everything but when I did I loved it and it's been running constantly almost every day since I got it. I had read all the reviews and unless you get an outright lemon, all of the mistakes that have happened are totally user induced. The needle threader issues, mine, not having the needle UP all the way. Hoop issues with the hoop being hard to put on were totally my mistake. After reading a forum post I found the hoop hooks on with no problem if it is centered on the machine, so I now just go back to a spot that centers the hoop, put the hoop on, and move the design back to where I was. I LOVE this machine. Nests of thread, my problem, since I had threaded the bobbin wrong. I looked at it several times before I caught my mistake.Gives a neat, tidy stitch. No bobbin problems once I learned how to thread and wind properly. It's just a dream!

    PE770

Posted by Mary M. on 3rd Jul 2018

Bought this PE770 in November, but did not get to use it right away. In the past 2 months I have embroidered many designs on denim, terry cloth, broadcloth, flannel and fleece. This machine is WONDERFUL! For someone who wants to learn how to embroider, the PE770 is a great way to get started. I have had absolutely no problems with this machine, it stitches out designs beautifully. I used to be dedicated to Singer, but reviews on Singer products over the past few years have scared me away from them. I am able to download designs from the internet onto a thumbdrive, plug it into the machine and stitch away! The directions that come with the machine do warn against using anything other than Brother branded designs and accessories, but I have not had any problems with after market accessories, threads, and embroidery designs (in PES format) from reputable companies. Highly recommend this machine and buying with confidence through Amazon!

An upgrade and I didn't even realize it!!!

Posted by D. Sharpe on 3rd Jul 2018

My old embroidery machine, a Baby Lock Ellure ESL (purchased used as my first) has been getting more and more finicky and it finally said "I'll not let another needle live". So, what did I ask for for Christmas you may ask? Why a new embroidery machine of course! I have been drooling over some high end Brother models and of course the professional models but as I looked at my poor Baby Lock I thought to myself "self, you just don't have room for the big machine. You really don't." So, I began searching on Google for a model that would work for me. I wanted Brother because all the patterns I already have, including designs and the Monogram Wizard Plus program, accept PES just like my BL did and since BL and Brother have merged, the machines are essentially the same with BL just a tad more expensive. I was OK with the 5x7 size since the only thing I really wanted the larger size for in the past were in the hoop projects which if I am completely honest with my self, are easier to just sew and add embroidery if you want. I did want USB connectivity because my ESL used PED Basic to transfer designs and that gadget plus a blank card was over $100 and I was afraid if it broke, it would take me awhile to get another and who wants to pay that again anyway. So, the search was on. One website I found sent me to Amazon to find Brother machines. My brother dealer is over an hour from my house and that is the closest machine store to me. (I think the website was sponsored by Amazon but I didn't care since it is almost impossible to find new machines for sale online) As I read the comparison of machines, I realized that a embroidery only machine was the way to go for me. Less cost for all the features I wanted and I have a wonderful Bernina sewing machine so I didn't need that anyway. Weeelllll......drumroll...........I got the PE770! OMG!!! I didn't realize how bad my BL had gotten or just how easy it could be. My key fobs that I add initials too always took at least 5 minutes and I kid you not......2 min....That is the time the machine said and I swear, it was less. I did a pocket book intial and it only took the 15 minutes that the machine said it would! I have never finished a bag in that amount of time! AWESOME!!!! And you know what else, I didn't have to re-thread except once because of a goof on my part, and not one needle break!!! I'm loving this!!!
