Great machine.
This is a great little machine. It's a work horse, and it keeps ticking. Sometimes there are a few kinks to work out at first, such as figuring out which thread your machine likes, but after that, d you maintain it you shouldn't have any issues. I've embroidered towels, seat covers, appliquéd tees, hats and more.

Great for Newbies
I am new to embroidery and I am in love with this machine. It was very easy to set up (directions were easy to follow), and plenty of patterns to get you started. Threading is also super easy, and the directions are right on the machine so if you don't use it for a while you won't need to pull out the manual to remember how. I have used mine for about 30 hours now with no problems. Just have to make sure you use the right stabalizer, so research what you want to make and what would be best to use before you start. It seems like the frame could be difficult to snap in, but I founf if you angle the frame down to the lock it goes it easy. I would absolutly buy this one again and have recommended it to others.

New to Sewing
My husband and I had never really sewn anything in our lives. We have been spending alot of money on monogrammed gift for people and decided to get this machine ands start doing it for ouselves and maybe even do some for friends and family. Turns out this machine is incredible, within an hour or two we are making all kinds of stuff. We've had it for about two weeks now and have started to do alot fanicier designs. We got a computer program called SewWhatPro. You will want to get that next. Thanks, good luck and order it!

5.0 out of 5 starsEmbroiderer Encourages Excellent Experience
I can't say enough about how much I like this machine. My daughter is learning a lot about it as we work with it. It comes with a 5X7 frame but it will work with a 4X4 frame as well (Sold separately). The tread is easy to load and the automatic needle threading lever is a real convenience although you will have to use it a few times to get used to it. The touch computer screen is easy to use and navigate. Also, it doesn't migrate across the table while sewing but is firm and solid.

Love it
This machine is great for the price! I was able to start embroidering rather quickly! I did break a needle in the beginning when I was using a small hoop. I haven't figured everything out yet but I am learning quickly. I do have a hard time putting towels in the hoops because the fabric is so think. But this machine is great! I am hoping to embroider some of my bow ties that I make along with orders from friends and family so this machine is perfect for my needs! The only thing I didn't realize when I bought it was that you have to buy certain designs. I thought I could do monograms but you have to buy certain templates. Also, I am wanting to embroider my own designs and I need to buy software to convert the files to files my machine will read, but I think after I buy some monograms and buy software I will be completely set! I would suggest this to anyone!

Wife is using and loving this machine!
I purchased this for my wife as her first embroidery machine after doing a fair amount of online research. She is a complete novice at embroidery, but I opted to spend the extra $$ on this machine over other "entry-level" machines because... that's just what I do! She was up and running in no time. She has used the built-in fonts and images and has also downloaded some free images from the Brother website (on a Mac--no problem) and embroidered those too. She has had one failed image where the embroidery thread broke part way through (unexplained) but otherwise has had almost completely success. It's a great machine.

I LOVE this embroidery machine
I LOVE this embroidery machine! Previously had an older Babylock which gave me nothing but trouble !!! This Brother is easy to operate and sews out well. A little problem with thread breaking but I'm sure that's just a setting adjustment. For a home embroiderer this machine is great !!

its a great machine. But I'm new to embroidering so it ...
Once you figure it out, its a great machine. But I'm new to embroidering so it took a bit to master and I still don't think I'm using it to its fullest abilities.
