One good set of shears.
My wife kept buying dollar store shears. I said stop we have them everywhere and you couldn't cut paper with them I purchased these now she gets the point of having a sharp blade.

These are excellent shears for cutting leather
These are excellent shears for cutting leather, which is what I bought them for. If they cut through 8-9oz leather this easily, I'd imagine they're fantastic for fabric and paper, too. Comfortable grip, and I like that they have a cover for the very sharp blades.

I am very pleased with these. I have already cut thin cotton fabric, interfacing, fusible fleece, felt... no problems with any of them. No rolling, smooth cut, nice ergonomic feel. No complaints. I have had the same pair of Mudial scissors for more than 20 years and they finally broke, so I grabbed these locally. So far, so good! I hope I get 20 years out of them too!

These scissors are very sharp. They are excellent for precision cutting very small pieces, and leave a nice clean cut in your fabric whether you are cutting straight, or a really complicated pattern. The blades are small. so I wouldn't recommend these if you are cutting out very large patterns, but if you are cutting out small patterns or designs and you don't want to deal with super large blades, these are perfect. I use these for cutting fabric for very small sculptures, and they work wonderfully.
