The tip is not narrow & pointed. I wanted to use it to cut buttonholes but I ended up using it to cut small pieces of fabric.

Old favorite
Years ago I started using Gingher shears when I was taking a sewing class. I bought the large pair and this same small pair. I still have the large pair; but I lost the small ones. The large ones are still sharp and I don't think I have ever had them sharpened. I was glad to see that Amazon sells this great brand. These are just what i expected. Thank you.

Use these as my primary scissors. Extremely sharp, pointy, ambidextrous, high quality, and come with a nice leather sleeve for protection. Easy to sharpen overall perfect size and a joy to use! If you are an adult stop buying safety scissors and pick up some of these. If your scissors didn't come with the leather sleeve then I would suggest returning them because it's really necessary for how sharp and pointy the scissors are.
