Great for machine embroidery
Pros: Sharp and easy to use. Has sturdy feel to scissors and angle is great to get into hoop to trim fabric away from outline stitches. Cons: a bit thick to nip the inside "v" of a tiny spot

Best scissors I have ever used
These are absolutely the best applique scissors I have ever used. The bend makes it easy to trim while still in the hoop and they are very sharp and have a very fine tip for small areas. LOVE THEM.

Gingher is top quality!
These double curved scissors are perfect for embroidery - especially for a lefty!! I've tried using the half moon style, but I can't hold the scissors the correct way to use them effectively. This pair is extremely sharp, gets very close to the edge, and once you get used to how to hold them they are actually pretty comfortable to use. Definite bonus for left handed compatibility!!

A Must in the life of a machine embroidery person
The best brand, the best for the machine embroidery, always sharp and if they aren't Gingher will sharpen them for $7.50...and that includes shipping and handling... this is a great deal....

gingher scissors
I've had two pairs of these scissors since 2008 and they are the best I have ever used for cutting fabric when doing appliques. They are also good for cutting jump threads on embroidery projects. I bought two more so I can have the two I have now sharpened and have these two to use in the meantime. I'm lost without them. It's hard to find the 6 inch double curved. The 4 inch just doesn't work as well for me.

Great quality, good weight in hand
Weight is different than similar style scissors by other companies. I have a Janome pair that I’ve used for nearly 10 years and have stayed fairly sharp. I wanted a back up pair to keep at a second sewing station. These have more weight in the hand and feel superior quality. Haven’t usd enough to comment on sharpness, etc.

Good shears but could be better
These scissors are monumentally useful when working on hooped fabric. They are very sharp. However, the one I got binds a little when cutting. Also, I wish the blades were finer so they would cut flush when trimming jump threads and so they would fit better under short jumps. I was a little disappointed since I have eight Gingher dressmaker shears that are wonderful and expected the same smoothness and quality in these.

My favorite pair of scissors for trimming material around my embroidered ...
My favorite pair of scissors for trimming material around my embroidered quilt squares. I'm working on a Hawaiian quilt. I don't have the 8 little squares sewn together yet, but here's a picture. I had to cut away the excess red and blue material.

Finally a pair of applique scissors that cuts cleanly through fabric to the tip!
I'm giddy! Finally a pair of applique scissors that cuts cleanly through fabric to the tip! But that's exactly what I would expect from Gingher quality. I do a lot of flat cut applique work (material is sewn down and then cut to shape). These scissors are AMAZING! So sharp and that very satisfying 'snick' at the end as the tips come together. I've only had them for a few hours and I'm in love! I already have a second pair on the way. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these scissors to any and all embroidery enthusiasts! A must have for the serious embroiderer.
