Love Gingher
My mother always owned Gingher and so when I needed a pair of pinking shears, these were the ones I went to. I am not disappointed. They are weighty, so be sure your hands can handle that aspect. I love them. They glide through fabric like butter!!!

shears arrived in great condition. i just wonder whether all shears remain a little stiff when using them. i applied the machine oil; however, i do not feel any difference. these shears are a gift for my handicapped daughter. my personal shears have also remained more tiring to use than regular fabric scissors. this comment is in no way a reflection on the seller; it is merely intended for the manufacturer--although not negative because i do not know whether shears are constructed in this manner. thank you, sylvia

indeed, these are pinking shears
These shears are beautiful and super sharp -- they live up to Gingher standards of quality. Just like the manufacturer says, they really only cut easily through one layer of fabric at a time. The thing is though, if you're like me, you are usually using these to trim seams that are two layers thick! If you cut slowly and aren't cutting heavy duty fabrics, it's possible. These shears are heavy as other reviewers say ... I'd give them five stars just based on aesthetics, but have to rate a little lower because I know there are competitor brands that are lighter weight and easier to use.

Others just don't cut it!
Bought these for my daughter who is a designer in Paris and she loves them. I guess they are hard to find in Paris or they are way too pricey. I thought shears are shears but apparently not! I got my education on shears vs. well scissors (I guess). They work well and she's happy happy so I'm happy!
