I have been sewing over 25 years...I recently had to purchase a new sewing machine. The Janome is easy to use and durable. I was impressed with the stitching and tension control. I had never used or heard of Janome but it works better than any other machine I have had. I liked that the machine has 2 spool holders on top...if you need to make a bobbin you don't need to unthread the machine.

This machine is in fact a basic machine!!!! You can do so much with it! It is a great quality and runs smooth and easy to operate. getting a new sewing machine is almost as exciting as getting a new car.! I recommend this machine to anyone. I have had it for about a week and used only a few times. hopefully and as I will find out if it endures for several years to come. This is the dream machine. and for a great price. definitely a good buy.
