    Nice for small projects

Posted by Jessica on 24th Mar 2018

I bought my Janome about a year ago. I have made 4 quillows with it and have finished a queen sized (cotton) quilt top with it. I am pretty pleased with how it works. Sometimes the thread gets jumbled up while sewing (then it won't go until I hand crank it). It is easy to use, and I have been able to easily figure out how to adjust the thread tension and length. With my quillows, at one point, it had to go through 4 layers of cotton fabric and 2 layers of thin batting and it did just fine (no thread was jumbled up and it trudged on like a trooper). I am happy I got it for my easy projects. Now I am just wishing I would have gotten a machine with more stitching options.

I absolutely love this machine! I wish it could handle more than 2-3 layers though.

    Great Machine. No complaints.

This is my wife's machine. She loves it. Sews like crazy. Does multiple stitch patterns and is easy to use. I can't say much more than that other than she is very pleased with it.

    Nice simple machine

I haven't had the chance to do much with this yet, as I bought it for my son. He was able to get it started on his own (10 yr old) and enjoys working with it. So far, we're impressed.

Posted by Cynthia B. on 24th Mar 2018

I just started using it. So far so good, and I do alot of denium sewing. Easy to use and I have had no problems. Will wait and see. I had a New Home machine b/4 and loved it. It is still going as I gave it to my daughter.

    great machine

Posted by nutmeg on 24th Mar 2018

I am really enjoying this very simple to use machine! Two questions: Anyone have trouble with material getting caught in the feed dog when starting right on the fabric edge (with needle in fabric), and what about the one sided zipper foot that does not switch from left to right? Am I just outdated? Could be!

Good solid machine for a beginner

    Posted by Oregon11 on 24th Mar 2018

Love the machine. I am a begging sewer who has not sewed it years. It was easy to set up once I understood how to put the front loading bobbin in! It makes a "q" instead of a "p" with the thread. Tension is always good at 4. Glad I bought this one.

    Okay but not great

Posted by E. Louros on 24th Mar 2018

I sewed a few times with this machine before returning it for a refund. I bought it because my high end Janome does not have a free arm ( It is a quilting model) I am sewing more clothes and needed the fee arm. The 2212 was okay but a little loud compared to my Janome.
