Love this machine. Needed a machine for our summer place, and considered cheaper brands, but since I have a Janome at home, I decided to go with this one,I am super happy with it. Easy to use just as my other one is.

I love this machine
I bought this machine as a gift for my 12 year old granddaughter....it is so easy to use...she is threading and applying the bobbin without any problem...she was sewing right away. She started with making carrying bags for her laptop and is now making her cousins purses and play dresses....she is hand sewing in home economics and is about to learn about machine sewing, this is a great starter machine.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my new sewing machine. I do minor repairs, hem when needed, and learning to quilt. I can sew thick and thin material. I needed a light weight high quality machine. I move a lot overseas and this product is going with me everywhere I am stationed. This is a great product and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a simple machine to operate. One of these days I will learn to use all the many other features it offers!

Love this machine!
I can't say enough good things about this sewing machine. I started with a Singer Simplicity and threading the needed was so daunting that by the time I got it figured out I would get bored and put the machine away. I had it for 15 years and only used it a hand full of times. This machine, although basic is extremely user friendly and fun. I am now teaching my 5 year old how to use it (with my help) and she loves it as well.

Janome Sewing Machine
Was constantly having issues with my previous brand new Singer machine (tension on upper thread or bobbin thread), wads of thread coming out of the bibbin end. Even after having it adjusted at a repair shop (which cost almost as much as the mahine!). It worked until I changed to a different thread color and then started breaking the thread from the top spool -- what a pain!!!!! This Janome has worked perfectly right out of the box!!! Easy to thread, both upper and bobbin, plus the manual actually makes sense, which was greatly lacking with my Singer machine and manual. For simple, practical sewing, you can't go wrong with this machine.

just a few wants lacking
thread spool not big enough to hold large spools of thread and wish the bobbin could be looked at without taking it out of the case (so you can see how much thread is left on it) My Brother I could always tell if I needed to replace the bobbin before it ran out.
