I love this machine! It's very straight forward and so easy to use. No complicating buttons, or crazy stitches I would never use. This machine is more than your basic machine but it's so user friendly it's great! I highly recommend it!

I like it a lot
I like it a lot. First sewing machine. I use it to hem clothes, fix sheets and blankets, jacket pockets or any fabric our little aussie puppy tears up (like her puppy bed). I am going to start making a quilt with it. Everything has worked well, had 0 problems with it.

Great sewing machine for those on a budget. Lots of stitches and very easy to operate. I love the Janome brand. I make costumes for the stage...often sewing various textures and styles of fabrics. This machine handles them all without issue. You won't be sorry.

Great machine for beginners
I bought this as a starter machine and I love it so far. I am new to sewing and only have done basic things on this machine so far. However, I have been using it for about 6 months and have had no issues. The machine is easy to setup and I have found the daily use to be super simple. I do basic quilting and sewing and I can't think of anything that I will want to do in coming years that this machine is not able to do. I highly recommend this machine for beginners.

Workmanlike, inexpensive, and has some heft
I have two Bernina 1000 machines which I love, but needed an entry level for a family member out of town. This was a great price and feels like a more expensive machine. It isn't too light or flimsy, it has some gravitas and stays where you put it. It was easy for a non-sewer to learn on and fairly easy to move around and store. Excellent choice for a modestly priced, general purpose sewing machine.
