Janome 2212 Sewing Machine Premier Package

I'm a beginner who tried my first few projects on a Singer 2277, thinking the buttonhole thing and all the cool stitches would be great. After returning two of them I ponied up a little bit more and got this machine.

I have a Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8900QCP, but was afraid to travel with it in our 5th wheel. After a few months, I realized I really need my sewing machine, as my alterations were piling up. I love my Memory Craft, so decided a Janome mechanical machine would be most appropriate for traveling around. I am enjoying my 2212. It is lightweight and small but efficient. I even sewed through double webbing onto 2 layers of nylon, after adjusting the needle tension some for the extra duty performance. While it worked, I probably won't put it through such tough challenges in the future. I have been able to accomplish all my projects since I received this machine. The only negative I have is the lever to raise and lower the foot is only accessible with my right hand.... it's located on the right side of the shank. I am left handed, so it's taking some adjustment for me to remember that it's a right handed maneuver.

I needed a side loading bobbin machine for a long arm quilting system that I bought...this was a great deal for the money. Solid machine, stable and very smooth operating. The only thing I didn't like is that I can not choose the length of the straight stitches. Like that option with my quilting...Other than that, I am very pleased - exactly what I expected.

This is a wonderful little machine. I replaced my Singer machine that was super-frustrating due to bad design of the bobbin holder and plastic insides with this one and it's a night and day! This machine feels very solid and is all metal inside, never tears a thread or breaks a needle, never gets stuck, sews through everything and is very simple to use. It has only a few stitch options, which is honestly all I need. Never been a fan of fancy stitching, you use them once (if that) and then never again. Unless you are doing embroidery (get a special machine for that), this machine will be your friend! It is not loud (the Singer was way louder) and works like a charm. They could have made the cable for the foot pedal a little longer as I have the machine on a desk and with the cable going around the back of the desk, I can hardly reach it with my foot.

Purchasing products online can sometimes be hit or miss. This is a definite HIT! Love this sewing machine. Good quality, It works so well and is easy to operate. Be mindful however, it DOES not work well at all with with generic bobbins or needles. You need to purchase Janome products to use with this machine. So if you buy the machine, buy extra notions to go along with it.

Love this 2212 sewing machine as soon as i got it I read the book and then tried out all the stitches and feet had fun cant wait to do my quilting had no problems works great also think its made good they are a good company have had another almost 30 yrs from them just wanted one with more stitches. I did order the quilting foot plus a couple more but I ordered Janome ones. Would recommend to others as I think its easy to use read book first then have fun sewing. I make dolls stuffed toys and quilts do a lot of sewing this will do what I want plus more also make clothes plan to use this machine a lot glad I found it. Have fun and good luck with it.

I purchased the Janome 2212 Sewing Machine. I am new to sewing and usually hand sew but needed a new machine. I have tried cheap ones and they are just that cheap and do not work. This machine caught my eye and I am soooo glad I got it. It is super easy to use. The directions are easy to follow and threading the bobbin was the one thing that really worried me cause I had a tough time with it on my older sewing machine. I got it on the first try like a breeze. It comes with some extras that I really have no clue what they are but I am sure in time will figure it out. I can now shorten my own pants when I need and I can make cute little stuff animals now too. I highly recommend this machine especially if you are a beginner.

I bought this sewing machine over two years ago, and I still love it. I wanted to learn how to sew, and this is the perfect machine for that. Nice and basic, with great instructions. Two years later the machine is still going strong, and although my sewing has advanced quite a bit, it still works great for most of my needs. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a basic machine.

I'm new to sewing so I picked this one based on the reviews on both Amazon and other websites. So far I've hemmed my 9 year old daughter's clothing, made some little zipper pouches, and made some bean bags. I'm having fun learning how to sew on this machine!
