I bought this for my daughter. I have sewn for years and have had many machines, but this one is amazing! It has all the stitches a beginner needs. The knit stitch is fantastic. It even has a stretch straight stitch. What really impressed is how it sounded from the first time we used it. It is smooth and quiet. It sounded better than my $600 machine! I have to admit, I am a little jealous. I wish I had one for myself, but I am glad that my daughter will learn to sew without all of the problems a cheap machine brings to the project. The owners manual is the best I have ever seen too. It explains each stitch, how to set it up and what it is used for.

Great Sewing Machine
I'm 58 and have have sewn since I was 12 years old, even as a professional seamstress for a while. I couldn't be happier with this machine. It's easy to thread. Smooth bobbin action. Multiple stitching options and really can handle most fabric weights. It's not industrial strength so I wouldn't try it on anything terribly heavy like multiple layers of leather. However, it did a good job at fixing my son's jeans and transitioned well between heavy flat felled seams with multiple layers and single layers of denim. Little time for any real dress making or detailed tailoring these days, but it's a very serviceable machine. Have not tried button holes yet. I like metal bobbins in it best rather than the plastic ones supplied. The metal bobbie seem to have a smoother feed. Great purchase with fast delivery.

This machine is in fact a basic machine!!!! You can do so much with it! It is a great quality and runs smooth and easy to operate. getting a new sewing machine is almost as exciting as getting a new car.! I recommend this machine to anyone. I have had it for about a week and used only a few times. hopefully and as I will find out if it endures for several years to come. This is the dream machine. and for a great price. definitely a good buy.

I am pretty happy with it, so far, as I have only sewn straight lines, and one zigzag on regular thickness. Have not tried the zipper foot or sewn on denim or anything else. Will review again later.
