I got this machine because I was looking for a heavy duty for not a lot of money. This one is great! Perfect stitches everytime! I even sewed through my husbands leather motorcycle jacket! With no problems! I am very impressed with this machine!

I previously had a New Home machine, it was a good machine! Janome is also New Home and totally meets up to what I expected AND is much lighter to pick up than my 1st New Home.

I love my Janome HD 1000 so far. I just got it a few weeks ago. I was impressed with how well the stitches look.The automatic threader is a little tricky. I'm not sure how long it will last, it seems a little flimsy. Time will tell.
