Great machine!
I am used to working on industrial straight stitch machines at high speed and just needed something on the side for things like button holes and blind stitching without loosing the pace. It is fast, sirdy and does beautifull button holes. I would recomend this machine anyone, beginner or pro.

Great customer service.
The first one arrived locked up, never got to sew a stitch. Contacted Amazon and had another one the next day. WOW! New machine sews fine. Look forward to sewing different thicknesses with it to see if it is the workhorse I need.

First time sewer, blown away!
What a gorgeous machine! Everything is beyond my expectations. My only small gripe is that the instructor manual does leave gaps sometimes in its instructions, but that is to be expected with most instructor manuals. So much information can be found out there in the form of videos and "how to" books, I can hardly dock this product a star for that. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in the craft!!!

Handles all weights of fabric with ease
This machine had a hard act to follow. I have used a Singer 20u for years but couldn't afford to replace it with another. After a lot of research, I decided to give the Janome HD1000 a try. What a joy it is to use. I had been very skeptical about a machine that cost only a fraction of my old machine, but as so many other reviewers have said "this machine is a real workhorse" I love it!!

A Work Horse
I purchased this for my spouse as a Christmas gift, as the original Christmas gift I ordered (a Singer Hd-105) did not work properly and was poorly made. This Janome however is a work horse. My spouse uses it to sew through very heavy material and it goes through it with ease. This machine is awesome and for a little extra money, I would highly recommend.
