great purchase
I absolutely love this machine. It is so easy to use and is very solid. My sixteen year old daughter has even tried it out and finds it easy to use. I am so very happy that I purchased this machine. I really believe it will last for years. It is a solid piece of machinery with metal parts.

Very Nice Machine
Does great basic stitching, which even the designers prefer. It does seem to need rethreading more often than usual, including in the middle of a project, but is sturdy and can handle many types of fabrics. Very nice machine.

Perfect for my needs
I've had this machine for nearly a year and it is holding up well. It has all the stitches I need to sew anything I want. It's easy to use and very sturdy. I sew almost every day and cheap home machines can't usually handle all the work I do.

Best purchase I have ever made!!! I love this machine!
I placed my order on the 12th and recieved it that Friday the 16th. I cannot tell you how excited I was. I had done a ton of research before purchasing this product to find it was the best option for the price and quality. The machine manual, I will have to say could have used actual pictures instead of the drawn illustrations only because to a non machine user like myself it was a tad hard to decifer and connect the pictures to the writing. I actually found clarity on the YouTube reviews of this product. This machine also comes with extra footers like that handy zipper foot (which I used and was AMAZING!) although, the lint brush did not come in my package but that was cool I had one already. For me this was a lot of money to spend but after using and learning this machine I regret it 0.00%! Fast shipping, secured packaging, and an amazing product! You will Love it. ;) I definitely do!

Pure joy!
My husband bought me the equivalent to this machine when it was "New home" after we got married years ago. I got another machine a few years ago and sewing was not the same. I plugged this machine in and the joy of sewing is back!! It's like getting out of my Ford and sitting behind the wheel of a solid Cadillac!!

Quality built
I brought it for g/f, after we figured it out, works great. The body feels like metal, heavy and durable.

Blasted Skepticism Right Out the Window
I am a vintage mechanical sewing machine person...I even have treadles! I have one newer sewing machine that could not measure up to my vintage workhorses. Before purchasing this Janome, the reviews for this particular machine was great! It had better reviews than the mechanical Vikiing machine! I sew a lot and needed a heavy-duty workhorse like my vintage machines; and, I did not want ANYthing computerized, no matter how pretty! If you want a workhorse and have a modest budget, this is your machine!

Tough
I've owned this machine for about a year now and it is tough. Sews through bulking seams while keeping an even stitch. Strictly mechanical, easy to use. I bought it for my bulky sewing and find I use it for a lot more. When it comes to sewing bulky, it puts my fancy Pfaff to shame.
