The Juki MCS 1500 is a great machine capable of both cover stitch and chain stitch in one machine at a great affordable price. It features 4-thread, 3-thread (wide), and 3-thread (narrow) cover stitches which are great for hems, necklines, cuffs of sleeves, and more.
The stitches also stretch, meaning you can use this machine for stretchable fabrics. The chain stitch is great for decorative stitching, but also serves a purpose – because it is quite strong, it’s great for waistbands and the side seams of pants as well.
The presser foot on the Juki MCS 1500 can be lifted easily at an upward angle to make it easier for you to slip the fabric underneath. The pressure of the presser foot is also adjustable based on the fabric you are working with.
The extension plate has guide lines to make it easier for you to manage your seams, while the presser foot also comes with a guide to use. There is an external thread cutter as well to make things even easier for you. The differential feed is adjustable with a single dial to make it easier to sew different fabrics.
The Juki Company warranty on the Juki MCS 1500 is 2 years for electrical parts, 5 years for mechanical parts exclusive of consumables parts, and a 90 day labor period to allow for adjustments by the vendor.

Juki Manufacturers Warranty:
Juki Sergers have a 2 year electronic warranty on motors, light assembly, wiring, switches, circuit boards and speed control. A 5 year mechanical warranty is for "all other parts" however this excludes "consumable parts" such as loopers, feed dogs, knife blades, bulbs, lamps, presser feet, needles and belts. Juki sergers also comes with 90 days labor period on adjustments good through the Juki dealer the machine is originally purchased from. This warranty is valid only on products used for household purposes. Using this product in a commercial environment voids warranty.

Work horse, no issues!
Works great right out of the box, no issues. Uses regular needles, although haven’t tried stretch needles and don’t know if it came with them. Only one draw back, wish there was a bigger throat space for top stitching. Easy to thread, only one lower looper. Looks like a work horse to me.

Awesome, durable machine!
I am absolutely head over heels for this machine! It's very simple to get started, and I found threading simple if you follow some quick youtube videos. Because this machine is a near twin of the Bernina L220, I recommend searching for some introductory videos for that machine. Happy coverstiching!

Did my homework on all the other cover stitch machines and this one came out on top. This machine never misses a stitch. Sews through all of the materials I use on daily basis, for clothing. I have 2 other Juki machines, maybe I'm bias. If you want sewing machines that give you years of trouble free sewing, these are the machines. Worth the investment

Sews Beautifully
I requested two day shipping and received the machine on time. The machine was easy to set up and started sewing with it immediately without any issues. I am pleased with how well it sews. Goes over seams easily, no skipped stitches (which was a problem with my previous coverstitch machine). I’m enjoying making leggings for my granddaughter because its so easy to use and gives my garments a professional look. I only regret not buying this sooner.
