    Great serger!

I could not be happier with my Juki MO654DE. The threading instructions are easy to follow- all color coded, the machine is quiet, runs very smoothly and it does a beautiful job. I have used the serger on various materials: jersey knit, wool, and waxed canvas. The stitching was flawless every time. I would highly recommend the Juki MO654DE.

great starter, never used one before i got this and i love it!

Posted by Kelsey A. Maynard on 24th Feb 2018

I bought this around xmas, had never used a serger before in my life. The threading was confusing to me but since it came threaded that helped a ton so I could see how it worked before trying it on my own. The manual makes it pretty easy to do after that with a little practice. Anyway this machine is fantastic I love it! It has worked wonderfully for me and I'm so glad that I made this purchase. I'm still enjoying the beautiful stitches as well as enjoying the fact that it pretty much has any and every stitch I've ever wanted, great little machine for the price. It really does so much and it does it well. I only wish it had come with a few extra feet but for the price I can afford to buy them separately. I've had this for a few years now and it has not disappointed me.

    Great workhorse

Posted by Terry on 22nd Feb 2018

I bought this machine 6 or 7 years ago and have since sewn many many spandex itmes (all types and weights) with flawless performance. It's a compact and sturdy machine that stores easily on a shelf in my closet in my small apartment when not being used. For people anxious about threading, the simplest way to change thread is to tie on the new thread somewhere between the big round tension things and the complicated stuff below (or beyond the needle's eye for the upper threads), and sew until the new thread makes its way through. I do this one thread at a time, just in case the knots would get in the way of each other.

    Great product for the price!

I received this as a gift (from here, off my Amazon wishlist) and have been very pleased! I have a limited amount of experience with various sergers; I have used Janome at the local sewing boutique I frequent for classes and that is about it. I have heard good things about the Juki brand so picked this one. I love it! Very easy to use, and fantastic results. The manual could use a bit more content, but if you have taken as little as a Serger 101 class you will have no problem with this. I have not tried to carry it around (seeing as it is labeled portable) but it does not take up much space in my sewing area. It is my understanding that especially with sergers/overlock machines, to get good ones you need to spend. This is definitely not cheap, but I would absolutely recommend this over a bargain price one that you may have to replace or repair very frequently.
