Nice to use for a fold away desk. NOT just a sewing table!

Excellent, sturdy table and storage for small spaces

Great little space saver! It took an afternoon to assemble but it's easy if you follow the directions. It's also very sturdy. I love this compact table and storage. Sullivans products never disappoint.

    Great Secondary Table

Posted by A. Twitchell on 14th Dec 2018

I bought this table because I needed a folding table to do into the living room. My real sewing table is out in the garage and I don't currently have room for it where I live. This table is perfect as a portable, folding table. It moves where I need to use it and then moves back out of the way. It does take up a lot of room and has plenty of room for my sewing supplies. Once I have room again for my sewing table that's furniture (not particle board), I will still be able to use this table for cutting out fabric and other craft projects, like beading. A couple of issues. The table parts weren't made perfect, as many of these put together yourself furniture are. I have to really push to have the fold out table fold back down and underneath, as it's not flush. The drawers are not as smooth as I would like. But for the money, this table is just fine and very utilitarian for my purposes. I would recommend it to others as a secondary table. If you want this as your man sewing table, I would save money and get a really good furniture piece instead.

2 person, Utube watching req'd for assembly

    Posted by Loves2read on 14th Dec 2018

The cabinet is cute. We definitely followed instructions from the U Tube videos on the company's website (two for cabinet assembly and a separate one for airlift adjustments) better than the included instructions for some steps. In fact, for some steps we watched the video twice and read the instruction manual before proceeding. Little things were challenging - the hinges included were different than those in either instructions, and one of the screw holes wasn't predrilled sufficiently and the screw stripped out rather than going in. There were definitely a couple of steps where two people were really helpful. While we may not be the most efficient some-assembly-required couple, I think this cabinet took us far longer than most book cases and cabinets do so you might want to allow a little more time than it usually takes you to do these things. We still don't have the platform where the sewing machine sits perfectly level. It sticks up a little more in the front than in the back, but I'm going to use it like this for a while and see if it is a problem or not. Finally, if you have never used an airlift mechanism before there is yet another video on the website that shows you how to press down on the platform multiple times to get it to move up and down. PS. Save some of the cardboard and thick styrofoam when you unpack the boxes. We often toss all packaging right away to clear the area and didn't realize we would need some of it when fastening the platform to the airlift mechanism. To assemble you will need a screwdriver (easiest with manual and electric kinds available), a rubber mallet or hammer, and some wrenches. I was surprised that we needed wrenches, as most flat packed items can be assembled with just the screwdriver and mallet.

The sewing table is great for the price and has plenty of storage for sewing necessities

Very pleased with the outcome of putting this sewing table together. It does help to have someone to help hold the pieces together and plan about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of assembly time.

    Sullivans Portable Sewing Table #12575

This is a wonderful product! It is heavy and very practical. The instructions are perfect...you have to follow them to the letter, with 2 screw drivers and about 3 hrs. and you will have a very solid sewing machine table. It is very sturdy......a bargain for the price!!
