Ensuring an even fabric feeding has never been easier thanks to the adjustable presser foot pressure. Unwanted gathering of both thin and thick fabrics is the past! Adjust the upper thread tension in order to optimally balance the upper and bobbin thread.
Want to go full speed or half speed?
Tricky sewing projects? Then the half speed mode with maximum 650spm is perfect for you! Are you sewing long straight seams? Then feel the sewing flow at a sewing speed up to a 1110 stitches per minute. The speed limiter makes both possible.

B05 sewing machine
I absolutely love this machine. I like to sew at a faster speed and this machine allows me to do that with accuracy. I used to have a single stitch high speed machine and wore it out. When I went to replacing it I wanted to try this machine due to the weight and ability of assortment of stitches, and the stitch speed made it exactly what is was looking for. Took it to a retreat and am so pleased with it. Great machine! Stitch and tension held great even when sewing at higher speed.

Bernette 05 Academy: Just WOW!
As an owner of the beloved Bernina 730 Record, there are few machines that impress me. I wanted to get my daughter her very own first sewing machine and my dreams were for a new, well and solidly built, non computerized, machine that she could keep a lifetime and be heirloom worthy. A brand new machine meeting this requirement would cost such a price that I was afraid my dream was unattainable. I stumbled upon this newly released machine and reviewed every article and video on it. Bernette is made by bernina. I looked into the factories where bernette is made. I will not by a machine made in China, I don’t care what name you put on it (just look at the quality of the singer machines now). I decided that I would take the the chance and I have been completely blown away! This machine’s stitches are as beautiful as my almost 60 year old Bernina! It is a quite smart looking machine, as well. It comes with 12 feet! I was so impressed that I immediately ordered a second one as a backup to my beloved Bernina! As far as my dealings with sewvacdirect.com, all of my orders have shipped the same day! I have called with questions about products and have received perfect customer service. I have made 4 large purchases from them and each box was packed and delivered in 5 ⭐️ condition. I have even purchased a refurbished, previously returned item and could not even tell that the box was opened by someone prior to myself. I have yet to have an instance that I would need to return an item. I couldn’t be more pleased with this machine or this company!
