Every sewist and crafter could benefit from having an extension table for their sewing machine. Extension tables are not a one size fits all, but fortunately for us, there is an awesome company that can make an extension table to fit any and all sewing machines! That company is Sew Steady.

What is great about the Sew Steady extension tables is it does not matter if your machine is the latest model or something from the Flintstone’s era, they can custom cut an extension table to fit your sewing machine perfectly.

Sew Steady extension tables come in a variety of sizes from a small (junior) size 11.5” x 15” all the way up to a giant 24” x 32” extension table. They even make one for your serger! When used with your sewing machine, this will create a nice flat sewing surface to help support your fabric. This support helps eliminate drag and pull on your needle when quilting or sewing heavier fabrics. Some of the Sew Steady extension tables have drawers on the underside of the table for holding notions like pins, fabric markers, snips, bobbins, or whatever you need to keep close at hand.

Another cool feature is that the Sew Steady extension tables can even be used like a light box! Since they are made of clear acrylic all you need to do is slide a light stick underneath the table and like magic, you now have a light box! This is great for tracing patterns and pictures, marking light-colored fabrics, drawing your own designs to stitch out, and whatever else your crafty mind comes up with.
