Good product.
Works great! Makes sewing go smoothly and quickly. No hassle finding my marks when quilting. My machine is a Brother JX2517, but I understand it works on many different machines.

Recommend for Quilters!
This works great for quilting! It was hard for me to keep an accurate 1/4 inch seam on my new machine, so this makes it so much easier. I purchased 2 of these feet, and gave one to my aunt. The price was so cheap, and the shipping was free, so I wasn't sure what the quality would be, and the review were mixed, but I purchased and thought I'd give it a shot since I really wouldn't be out much money if I didn't like them. I probably cost more for the company to ship it from China than what I paid for the 2 feet. For anyone wondering if this will work for them, I say go ahead and buy it, it works great on my new Brother sewing machine. The 1/4 inch guide does move a little if you're not careful, but if you don't put force on it, you'll be fine.

Having the Right Tool Makes the Task So Much Easier
I decided to purchase this foot after trying to maintain 1/4 inch seams by marking the distance using a marker and then masking tape. I was new to quilting and was not having much luck maintaining the seam allowance. This foot has made it so much easier to maintain the seam allowance. There is a little "wall" on the right hand side that the fabric butts up against, making it very easy to sew a 1/4 inch seam. What a time and head-ache saver. I love it! I use it on my Singer Model 2662. Great fit.

Keep that seam allowance!
This works wonderfully with my CS6000i machine. Although the machine includes a piecing setting it is much easier to keep a handle on making sure the 1/4" seam is even for quilting. I starting using this foot in the middle of a project and it made a big difference.

Great!
It really is the brother brand. It works great, and It keeps your fabric from moving beyond the quarter inch mark. Obviously you still have to pay attention to guide your fabric when sewing, but it's helpful nonetheless. Most people like to use these for quilting, and I find that they are extremely helpful for garment construction as well. This was a great price for this foot. I have purchased no name brand quarter-inch foot attachments before that were 15-30 dollars, so I was very happy to see this one.

Very useful after adjustments
I popped this on my machine right after I got it, and immediately noticed my seams were not 1/4". Thinking it was because the foot was cheap, I tossed it in my presser foot bag and forgot about it. A couple of days later I was testing a couple other specialty feet when it hit me that all I needed to do was adjust my needle position. After a small adjustment to my needle position I am able to quickly sew very accurate scant 1/4" seams. I am really excited about this and would certainly recommend this foot to anyone. Just be sure to make adjustments carefully and use the handwheel to lower the sewing needle when doing this because my needle in the farthest position would have come down on the foot rather than in the opening.

Wonderful foot
This foot makes piecing so much easier!! Love it!! It fits my Brother CS-6000i perfectly even though my machine wasn't listed on the product compatability list. As one reviewer mentioned before for all of you with a 6000i, you MUST set the needle position to the center or '01' setting before you let the needle down. The needle on this machine automatically starts off in the left side position and will ram into the side of the foot if you don't switch it. Happy sewing!

Works great for basic sewing
This foot is going to be GREAT for piecing together quilt fabric. I tried to use it as a 1/4 inch seam guide on a stuffed animal toy I was sewing, and I found that if I have more than 2 pieces of fabric I'm sewing together, it sometimes gets hung up on the little guide and I had to keep lifting the foot up. If you are a "lazy" sewer who leaves pins in while you sew, this foot won't work well .. the pins get hung up on the guide. On the other hand, this foot will help you break that habit. :) I use this on my Brother CS6000i. One thing to pay close attention to is that the needle hole is center-only. The machine defaults to a left-side needle position. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT LEAVE THIS FOOT ATTACHED AFTER TURNING THE MACHINE OFF --- when you turn it back on, you might forget to change the needle position ... which will end up breaking a needle and probably throwing off the timing and other gears in your machine.

perfect 1/4" seams; check your needle position!
This foot helps you to create perfect 1/4 inch seams easily & quickly. As another reviewer noted, it is important to check your needle position after attaching this foot to your machine. The hole that the needle passes through is small, and if your needle is not in the correct position it will hit the foot and break.I have a Brother CS 6000 and the default needle position is to the left, instead of in the center. So, BEFORE you begin sewing with this foot, you have to position your needle to the center. It is important to remember this if you have been sewing with this foot, but turn the machine off, because when you turn the machine on again the needle positon will automatically revert to the left, and you will have to reset it to the center before you begin sewing again. If you cannot tell by eye if the needle is aligned with the hole in the foot use the handwheel to gently lower the needle above the hole. This way you will be able to see if it is aligned without breaking the needle. This is a great price for this foot, as well.
