Cut Above the Rest
I love this rotary cutter by Fiskars! It is very comfortable and light weight, has the ability to lock the blade while in use and not in use singlehandedly, other replacement blades can be used with this brand. I have cut through 6 thicknesses of fleece fabric. Great product for the price and highly recommended.

Ideal rotary cutter
This rotary cutter is great. It is comfortable, easy to use, and not too expensive. I've been using it for over a year now, and haven't had any problems. The blade is easy to change, and I love the safety feature. It's really easy to lock the blade into either the safety positon or the useable position. With other cutters, I sometimes neglected to take the extra step to lock it, but with this one, it's like second nature. As for performance, it hasn't let me down. The cuts are precise, but when my blade does begin to dull, it's easy to find replacements at any craft store, or here on amazon.

great rotary cutter
Cheap, light-weight, ultra sharp cutter and fairly easy to use. The blade is retracted by default and can be locked/unlocked via the button. To use, simply unlock with your thumb, squeeze the handle, and re-lock the blade down via using your index finger with your thumb on top of the cutter (slightly awkward - would be better if you can unlock and re-lock with just your thumb). Uses standard 60mm blades. Blade changing is also easy (place the blade side down, finger loosen and remove the fastener, and lift the cutter away from the blade resting on the retaining bolt). Note for southpaws: even though the cutter comes assembled for right-handers, you can easily remove the blade and switch it to the other side (both sides of the body are identical). I was struggling with cutting some stretchy thick plush fabric and decided to get this rotary cutter. With the stretchy fabric, it was nearly impossible to get a straight cut with the shears (mangling the fabric). This cutter totally saved me. I was able to cut through four (pretty thick) layers at a time. A note about the blade size - basically, smaller blades are better for cutting around curves and larger blades are better at cutting straight lines and more layers.

Great rotary cutter
I just love this rotary cutter and the fact that it has a retractable blade - I feel that this feature makes it a much safer cutter. It's very comfortable to use. I've made two quilts and am still using the same blade (although it's about due to be changed).

I like it..a lot!
I'm a quilter and have used the same rotary cutter for years; it has finally been retired. I bought the fiskars (great name) and my first 60mm size. This cutter is smooth, very smooth; precise cutting, no slip, and the larger blade really does make cutting easier. It feels like you apply a lot less pressure on this than the standard 45 mm. I like it, I'm glad I bought it.
