this is a wonderful foot for anyone who wants to do some gentle gathering w/o having to purchase a rufler attachment. Easy to use and you can get a decent ruffle from it if you adjust settings to use with appropriate fabric.

This gathering foot creates soft gathers for many items and needs,
This gathering foot creates soft gathers for many items and needs, but I mostly use it for sleeve heads to give a nice soft and even gather before inserting woven sleeves into a garment - blouse, shirt, jacket, etc. It's so much nicer to use this foot than two rows of large stitches and then pull the bobbin threads. With the foot I get a much more even gather and all in one step. Gathers are adjusted by stitch length.

I wanted to complete my presser foot set.....
Sure I had one for my small 7mm size machine- but for the small amount of money I wanted this to complete my presser foot set. Happy with my purchase because I like more options. Wish they had a double one in the 9mm size
