Juki HZL-DX7 Computerized Sewing and Quilting Machine
If you've been searching for a high-performance, lightweight, and affordable sewing machine, the Juki HZL-DX7 ticks all those boxes and more! Juki has focused their efforts to make a user friendly, efficient, and feature rich sewing machine. This is the perfect machine for any at-home sewer, and is perfect for both intermediate and expert-level sewers.
As one of the higher-end offerings from Juki, the HZL-DX7 has the ability to tackle almost any sewing project. It always produces even and consistent straight stitches and great zigzag stitching. The HZL-DX7 even makes free-motion quilting easier than ever.
The HZL-DX7 produces beautifully even stitches thanks to the Juki “box feed” that is integrated into this machine to ensure consistent and even fabric feeding. The HZL-DX7 even handles thicker fabrics and layered fabrics beautifully because of this unique feeding system. The box feed even allows you to stitch through any type of fabric whether lightweight or heavyweight. It can even create even stitching on stretchy fabrics!
This machine can do more than just simple fabric projects. You can make clothes and quilts using the HZL-DX7. In fact, setting the Juki HZL-DX7 to sew with the presser foot lifted and floating ever so slightly will help ensure professional quality quilts without the need for stitch pulling.
Button holes are easier to create than ever before thanks to Juki's sensor buttonholing system. There are 16 choices of buttonhole types so you can choose which one best suits your project.
The Juki HZL-DX7 comes equipped with a backlit LCD touchscreen display. Using this feature, you can select patterns and stitches with ease. Choose from 287 stitches including alphabetical/numerical fonts!
You can use the HZL-DX7's intuitive button system to control the machine. Some of the features these buttons control are:
- Reverse stitch
- Lock stitch
- Thread trim
- Needle position
- Starting and stopping
The machine also comes with an auto-lift presser foot, and you can assign functions to the foot switch/pedal’s heel portion for easy access.
You can adjust the sewing speed on the Juki HZL-DX7 too. The maximum speed is 1050 stitches per minute. If you need to sew on tight corners or be particularly precise on a section of your project, you can use the low-speed or inching sewing function. Your stitches can also be adjusted in length or width with the adjustment dial.
The Juki HZL-DX7 sewing machine comes with 30 accessories, and includes the standard Juki warranty of five years of protection against mechanical part defects, two years' protection against electronic part defects, and 90 days of protection against defects of workmanship or material.
The Juki HZL-DX7 - A feature-rich dream machine!
|Evenly sews thick fabrics effortlessly - Even thick materials like denim folded into multiple layers!|
Float function prevents uneven seams - By pressing the float button, you can sew with the presser foot slightly raised. Raising the presser foot to float allows you to sew fabrics without pushing layers or creating uneven seams.
Easily create and enjoy beautiful buttonholes with Juki's combination of industrial background and modern technology - Use the buttonhole sensor system for optimal feed on all types of fabric. You will love the one step buttonhole as it measures and evenly sews on both the right and left sides. Automatically works in optimum order for a perfectly finished buttonhole.
Foot switch function - Allowing for greater versatility, Juki now offers assigned foot control options. With the ability to assign function to the heel side of the foot controller you can now lift the presser foot, trim threads, reverse stitch or single stitch by pressing on the heel side of the foot controller.
Stitch adjustment dial - Use the easy-to-operate dial to adjust the width and length of the stitch. The dial also lets you make slight adjustments while sewing zig zag stitches.

The best sewing machine for garments making: very efficient, precise stitching, fast, simple to use. It far overpasses my Babylock Ellisimo gold for sewing garments. To get acquainted to the machine, I made a sample of every stitch, and of every functions offered by this machine. WOW ! It is very pleasant to customize the functionalities (eg.: selection of the stitch patterns by light touch, subtle selection sound, tried all possibilities for the foot control, knee lift, adjustable starting and reverse speeds). There is no waste of time with this machine: everything is set up in a breeze. The main presser foot worths a lot by itself: very easy to get a precise stitching, the distances on the throat plate are indicated from the center of the foot, and no need for another presser foot for topstitching with a straight stitch. I can adjust every stitch (width, length) in real time with the dials while sewing (very useful and fast for ending darts). Using the straight stitch slide plate is quite a pleasure: very fast (instead of unscrewing the whole plate in my Ellisimo), and there is no danger of doing the mistake of sewing a zigzag stitch in that small hole because the machine allows only the straight stitches. And, perfect straight stitches in a sample of light charmeuse silk, without any need of a stabilizer. If it happens that the stitch patterns (eg. letters, words, flowers, etc.) are unrecognizable at first try, there is a simple way to fix them: we just have to make an adjustment called " Adjusting the darning", and "voilà", like magic, without any need for a stabilizer ! The floating function is impressive: my sample was a sandwich of silk dupioni (slices of bread) and 2 layers cotton batting: WOW ! Perfect diamonds, no puckering at all, no need for the walking foot, all the stitch patterns allowed ! The buttonhole presser foot is very simple to use (no side lever), and very performant. Perfect button holes (even the manual buttonhole is perfect), 3 widths. I prefer the needle threader on the Juki over the one of Babylock Ellisimo. All the feet / bobbins of my Ellisimo, Singer quantum stylist, Brother are compatible (which I would not have bought if the juki would have been available many years ago). I also tried many Janome at a sewing center in my town, and none of them had as many advantages as the Juki.
The machine was shipped from SewVacDirect and arrived by UPS in excellent condition. This machine was purchased as gift for my wife and she loves it. This model comes with all the accessories you could ever want. The automatic button sizing shoe is incredible. It is a solid machine and should provide years of service.
Cadillac of sewing machines!
I have not had to much time to actually get into using it but so far, it's really easy
I bought this machine from a Juki dealership. The stitches are beautiful & perfect after I set it on 1 other than AUTO. It sewn through 7 layers of denim without a hiccup with the needle that was already on the machine when I got it out of the box, a size 12/80 probably. I have the JukiTL 2010q for straight quilting & I am impressed with the performance of Juki sewing machines. The next machine on my list is the Juki serger with the air loop.
Just what I wanted. Works great. Efficient. Good buy for the money. Fast shipping. Love it.
Absolutely LOVE this machine! I have the HZL F-600 and decided to get the upgrade DX-7. I've tried many,MANY! machine models in search of the perfect machine and JUKI is it..I've tried Bernina,Pfaff,Babylock,Janome,Viking to name a few.The JUKI company takes PRIDE in their products.I've also had the JUKI sergers & currently have the JUKI serger MO 1000...LOVE it! JUKI has GREAT customer service and has replaced parts for me on sergers at NO charge!.Not saying they'll do this all the time? but in my situation they have. I love how this machine has a quick speed of 1050! the previous model went 900 stitches per minute..the machine is not industrial but has a BOX Feed system that is Industrial.it will go over thick seams like Butter...but of course you still should always hand walk machines over thick seams.unless they are truly an industrial with a large "SERVO motor" attached to the underside of the table. I LOVE all the features!the new features include an integrated straight stitch needle plate,Presser foot pivot function and the faster speed..oh yeah did I mention the new Decorative stitches?...which include a sewing machine, thread spools and other fancy foo foo's! I LOVE them all! I couldn't be happier! this machine should not have any negative reviews..at all...I'm a seamstress and I use it in my Business..I had the JUKI HZL F-600 for 4 years and had NO issues with it...I did service it myself to keep it clean and dust free...but I NEVER had to take it in for any malfunctions or broken parts
Well done. Thank you
I've had this machine for about 8 weeks, and it is excellent. It took over 3 months to research machines, and I was really close to buying a very expensive "Mercedes Benz" machine until I went on user forums for that brand. Not only did I save over $3K (compared to the model of the other brand) but I got an outstanding machine. First, you can easily customize the machine for the type of sewing you are doing. When I quilt, the foot pedal function option raises/lowers the presser foot, the needle stays in the down position, and the presser foot automatically raises just a little so I can pivot the fabric. But when I sew garments, I have the foot pedal cut threads and the needle stop in the up position. The stitches are great - well formed. The alphabet is legible. The included extension table has generous spacing in front of the machine so I can "play" with the quilt pieces before they go under the needle. No more working off to the side. I currently also own the Juki TL 2010Q. Now that machine is dedicated to FMQ while my little guy is my go-to for piecing, applique, and general sewing. I'm a really happy camper. Of note, my previous machines have been (in order of purchase) White, Bernina, and Viking. They are all now retired. These Juki machines are reliable workhorses that have high standards.
